The Standard Supplemental Benefits
-

Accident Insurance
Treatment for a broken bone, a laceration or other accidental injury shouldn't deplete someone's bank account. But many medical plans only cover a portion of the costs. Accident Insurance pays in addition to major medical coverage that is already in place. This extra protection can help ease financial worries, so everyone can concentrate on getting better.
The Outpatient Physician’s Benefit rider adds a daily cash benefit up to $50 for any doctor visit outside the hospital.
-

Critical Illness Insurance
Critical Illness insurance from The Standard can help protect the budget so everyone can focus on recovery.
Core health insurance doesn't always cover all the costs associated with a critical illness diagnosis and treatment. And it certainly doesn't help pay personal expenses that may accrue during recovery. Critical Illness Insurance can help, by paying cash benefits for a covered diagnosis in addition to any other insurance already in place. And, the cash benefits can be used for anything from hospital bills to groceries – there are no restrictions.
Includes an annual wellness benefit that pays up to $100 for completing a routine wellness screening.
-

Whole Life Insurance
Life insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit when the insured person dies or pays a benefit if the covered person lives to the designated maturity age. Add-on coverage riders can help give families more benefits, such as monthly advances for long-term care and chronic or terminal illnesses. Coverage amounts can vary to fit a family's needs and budget. At your initial enrollment, coverage is Guaranteed Issue up to a certain benefit amount, meaning there are no medical questions to answer to enroll in coverage.
